Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. Everything was nice especially the owner of the property was very kind and caring about his guests. It’s very close to the national park and the hotel can arrange the safari they have their own jeep for the safari which is very good price and you can choose the time you want to go it’s very flexible. The hotel is facing a jungle forest it’s really beautiful and all rooms have this view. There is lake at walking distance to enjoy and also the elephant transit home (elephant protection organisation) is at walking distance to visit. The host is cooking home food for breakfast and diner and it’s really nice very fresh amazing food and amazing sense of hospitality. The hotel also organises trips around they have their own taxi car which is much better than drivers you find outside.

We absolutely LOVED our stay udawalawe safari house! After changing our plans and coming to Udawalawe a night earlier than planned (and in need of some luxury), this place was exactly what we needed. The hosts were so friendly, the buffet dinner was delicious and great value and the swimming pool was amazing. They organise safari for us with easy and served breakfast on return. The rooms were well sized and comfy. Would 100% Recommend!

The room was clean and comfortable and was within close proximity to the safari and other attractions. What really struck out to us were the hosts, they are so hospitable and welcoming and went far beyond expectations in every way from showing us around the sugar cane fields to guiding us on the safari. They welcomed us into their homes and showed us how to cook traditional meals and we ate in the alfresco style restaurant that they said they’re soon to open. Once the restaurant opens I have every faith that it will flourish as the food was delicious! The hostel was brilliant, the hosts are exceptional! -check out the elephant transit hotel where orphaned elephants are fed (amazing experience!)

This stay was a great experience! The accommodation is a beautiful oasis, and the cottage was very modern and clean. Communication online was good. Leel adviced us to do an afternoon safari instead of morning. Happy we listened to him! We saw around 40 elephants, a crocodile and many other animals. The food prepared by Leels mother was the best we have had in Sri Lanka, both dinner and breakfast. Such a lovely woman! The driving that Leel arranged was in a modern, compact minivan, with belts and aircondition. Driven by his nephew in a safe manner. He picked us up in Ella, and drove us to Yala. The day after he also drove us to next location. Incredibly kind. Bring bug spray!!

The food was homecooked by the mother of the host, all very authentic, tasty, good portions for a very fair price!

The owner was super nice and helpful. He built all these houses by himself and tried his best to make you comfortable. Welcome fresh juice on arrival. The house is simple but made with care and the bed was huge and comfortable. The dinner was delicious. Also we suggest to book a safari with the owner.
