Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Lankavatara Ocean Retreat is located in Kalametiya, 15 km from Tangalle Lagoon. We had the suite, with the large terrace, directly on the beachfront. It was simple amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service can be arranged by whatsapp. The menu and drinks have enough variety for 5-6 days. The beach is very quite and beautiful. Highlight was diner at the beachfront. Also, the spa menu gives your some good options for relaxation.

Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. We walked through bush, rock, and lake areas at Yakaduru, savoring the diverse environment. How nice is that environment? When we see a lake with crocodiles, then again, we see a dry bush area, and we see a rough rock area. We felt the difference in Yakaduru's environment as we walked through bush walks. It's a traditional tour package, and we experienced safari and camping there. We could see how they roasted BBQ for us outdoors. So, we were excited to gain more and more varied experiences continuously. Rooms are small but sufficient, with all facilities. They resemble clean, pretty village houses. We felt like we were in a traditional world, living a village life. It's a great experience that you must have.

After traveling Sri Lanka for 3 weeks, this has absolutely been the best place we’ve stayed at. Everything is well thought of: the welcome, the privacy and interior of the cabanas, the beautiful garden with 2 pools. Breakfast is plenty! Good social aspect too, since they get the breakky and kayaks from local families who are lesser fortunate. If you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet place to chill out, this is definitely it!

Madu the resort owner and his wonderful staff Nisal, Mahesh, Sampath and the outstanding Chef Indika looked after us like family. The fruit and tasty cooked food for dinner is all local produce. The rooms are very modern and spacious with all mod cons required. For a trip to the National Reserve Safari park. Madu can arrange everything for a full day or half day safari. The room is spacious and has all the amenities you need. Small fridge, kettle tea coffee. There is water in the bedroom as well. We had an amazing stay. They can accommodate for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and all home made. They offer tours to Yala park as well and it's definitely worth it we had one of the best guides.

The host graciously guided us around the lake at no extra cost, sharing his extensive knowledge about the local animals and plants. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, even welcoming us with a drink upon arrival. The room was clean, nice, simple, and comfortable, providing just what we needed for a relaxing stay. The surroundings of the resort are beautiful and bring you close to nature. I highly recommend New Cormorant Lake Resort for anyone seeking a good accommodation close to Yala National Park.

We have chosen this accommodation to go to Yala park for a safari and it was an amazing surprise. The host family took care about us in every aspect of our stay. The room was perfectly cleaned and they offered us an amazing Sri Lankan dinner. Also the surrounding area full of culture, history and animals!
