The host was very nice and welcoming. The place is extremely clean, we really appreciate that. Our room was big with everything needed. We had an excellent dinner cooked by his wife at a very affordable price.

We really felt like home . We had dinner at Appleton, where I was super surprised with their reasonable price. Which’s the half of price we spent for lunch in Nuwaraeliya city center. Few things you should know when you travel Nuwara eliya. If you travel by your own vehicle there is no better place than this. This located between Nanuoya railway station and Nuwarael iya town. From the Appleton Villa to Nuwareliya town is exactly 5.9 Km which is 15 min to city center. What make you feel like as far is when the driver doesn’t know the road or else some Tuk Tuk driver want to charge extra that is why. Always take advise from the staff then you will be saved. Nuwara eliya itself is not a place to stay more than 2 days specially raining time. Overall we are quite happy with star class services.

The staff go above and beyond to make your stay great. We were offered laundry, multiple room cleans and we accidentally left some items at the hotel and they drove to Kandy to return them to us. The beds are very comfy with soft sheets. The room very spacious. We had no issues with hot water.

We loved our stay at Shevyhaws, and would love to stay there again. Chaminda and his family are wonderful guests, they could not do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and had everything from fruit, to toast, jams and omlettes to curry and roti and pancakes. Accommodation is a bit away from town about 2.5 km, but that was not a problem as Chaminda gave us rides to and from town at no cost, whenever we texted him. He recommended a delicious vegetarian restaurant. He organised daytrips with his 4x4 Jeep at very good prices including the Horton plains, and some tea plantations and waterfalls. The Lovers leap with it's beautiful surroundings is 15 mins walking distance from Shevyhaws. Shower wàs hot and powerful and bedroom was spotlessly clean and included warm cosy blankets for the colder nights. Would strongly recommend to anyone considering.

From there you can walk in 25 minutes to lover’s leap waterfall through a fantastic scenery of tea plants and mountains. Absolutely recommended to stay here.

Rustique House dbl terletak di daerah Lake Gregory bagi Nuwara Eliya, 17-minit berjalan kaki dari Tasik Gregory dan 7.7km dari Hakgala Botanical Garden. I love quaint, vintage places and the whole vibe of the place was exactly like that.
