Lovely room with very nice bathroom and very comfortable bed Spotlessly clean. Good location. Five minutes walk to the tower. A few minutes more to the city centre. The breakfast was excellent,. The staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention for Chiara who was lovely. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Breakfast was served in the ground floor. There was also a small open air yard. The coffee (espresso, cappuccino etc) was prepared by the barista (not an automatic coffee machine).

Right in the heart of Florence's shopping district and surrounded by history and art. We loved it, it was so elegant, nice to find a touch of glamour as so many modern hotels are rather dull. La Gemma delivers 5* quality from dawn to dusk. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are amazing, especially Gian Luca the hospitality manager, and Boldo the mixologist, made incredible cocktails for us. The food was out of this world, truly worthy of a Michelin* in my opinion. Beautifully presented plates and sleek service in the beautifully designed restaurant LUCA's. Even breakfast was a gourmet affair, with everything cooked fresh to order from an impressive menu, they catered for my gluten-free diet brilliantly. I had the best Eggs Benedict on the planet. All in all, La Gemma personifies Florence...glamorous, and beautiful, where one visit is never enough. We will be back.

The rooms were clean and very spacious. We got upgraded to the suite, which was delightful. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and we would love to visit again in the future.
