The host is incredibly helpful, we checked in late and he gave me a very detailed instructions to let us in and it was very smooth, and we also checked out early which is also no problem. The view is amazing, you can see the main church thru the balcony especially at night. We had a short stay but a memorable one.

We had a fantastic trip to Matera, and our experience at this hotel made it even better. We arrived a bit earlier than the official check-in time, but the receptionist was incredibly kind and welcoming—she allowed us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated. The common area near the reception was very convenient, with amenities like a coffee table, coffee machine, fridge, and more—everything you might need was available. The room itself was beautiful and modern, with a stylish design and all the necessary comforts. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, especially considering the reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera!

Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & SPA is situated inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site. Featuring a on-site restaurant and free WiFi, the hotel is located 400 metres from MUSMA Museum. Amazing stay, perfect and polite stuff. 5 stars for breakfast

The staff were incredibly kind - they upgraded our ‘cave’ at no cost. He also did an excellent job to make sure we were comfortable. The location was absolutely phenomenal. Everything we had planned was a 2-10min walk. No parking provided but the garage they suggested was close by. The room exceeded all my expectations. I also enjoyed that we got to select what we wanted for breakfast and had it delivered to our room. Mattress was also very comfortable. Made for a very special weekend.

This place was the best one during our trip (we stayed in 5 different places). We had really nice suite, very bright and spacious. The host is amazing- very helpful, proactive and warm. Breakfast is delicious- all home made. The parking lot is 2 mins from the hotel which is great if you have large suitcase. the view from the front of the hotel is amazing.

Located in Matera, a 3-minute walk from Matera Cathedral, La Casa di Ele offers rooms with city views. This property is set a short distance from attractions such as Tramontano Castle. I travelled to Matera with my mom and my dog. We had a very warm welcome from Raffaele and Tina who explained us what to visit around. The room was spacious and well cleaned with a special view on the Sassi. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Sweet and salty stuff available. Traditional focaccia and bread, ricotta, prosciutto, filled croissant. Everything to start the day at the best! A parking spot was few minutes away. The location to see around is just perfect. I do recommend to stay in La Casa di Ele!
