If you’re a 5-star hotel frequent visitor, this is not for you.

This was the 4th hotel I tried in Egypt in just 10 days, and honestly, it was the only one that matched exactly what was promised on Booking. The manager, Sheriff, really seems to love what he does...and you can feel it in every little detail around the place. The hotel itself is so well thought out. My room was beautiful, with an amazing view of the Nile and the Nubian village. During the day, you can watch the boats drifting by, and at night, the lights of the village give off such a peaceful, magical vibe. It’s located on a small island, which makes it super calm and relaxing. There’s even a little farm! It’s eco-friendly, pet-friendly, and Zaazouaa (the sweetest welcome committee ever) greets every guest as they arrive.

I had such a peaceful and relaxing time here. It was much quieter compared to the city across the river. - The room looked exactly like the photos. It was spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioner worked very well. The Wi-Fi was also speedy. - Breakfast was delicious. The staff were very flexible and helped arrange transportation by boat or car, even for early morning or late-night check-ins and check-outs. - They also suggested various tours, including trips to Abu Simbel and felucca rides. Even though I didn’t have a fixed travel plan, they gave me helpful advice on places to visit and local food to try. - The staff were kind and very knowledgeable about the island. They answered all my questions and helped me with anything I needed. Messaging was smooth, and I always received quick replies. I’m truly glad that I chose this guesthouse and this island. I was able to feel the warmth of the local people and enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature. Even though it was my first time visiting, it somehow felt nostalgic, as if I had been there before. Mahmoud, one of the staff members, knows everything about the island. He is warm, thoughtful, welcoming, and very kind. Thanks to his amazing hospitality, this trip became truly unforgettable. I’m so grateful. After spending two days here, I headed to Giza. But the experience at this guesthouse was so wonderful that I ended up canceling my plans in Giza and came back here again. That’s how much I loved it. I really hope to visit again someday.

Everything was new and clean, AC worked great, breakfast was delicious and the host was super helpful. I can’t recommend it enough!

Samir the manager is absolutely exceptional that he not only helped us with organising day trips in and around Aswan, but also prepared a most memorable birthday dinner.

The boss is very nice, polite and enthusiastic. The room was clean and the check-in was very smooth. The location is excellent, right next to the pier. His wife is also so sweet. Omar is definitely one of the kindest people I've ever met. He made his place feel like home. He greeted me upon my arrival and provided a welcome drink. Anytime I needed anything he was available. He offered help with directions and even walked me around the village the first day that I arrived. His hospitality is top tier! I also have to highlight the amazing home cooked breakfast. Truly the best that I had while staying in Egypt! You can tell that he truly enjoys being a host and ensuring guest get the best experience will staying in Aswan!
