My stay at Golden Nap hostel was perfect. It exceeded all my previous hostel experiences The room is spacious and clean. Newly renovated and decorated with all comfort. Golden Nap is located right in the center of beautiful Stone Town, close to all tourist attractions and in the middle of the cosy and historical little streets of the city, which instantly gives a local vibe The hostel is locally owned - which is a plus! We had a lovely stay at Villa Andrea . The house is cosy and felt like a home away from home. Violeth, our host, was incredibly kind and patient. Even when we arrived later than expected, she stayed in touch and made sure everything went smoothly. Communication was clear and friendly throughout our stay. Property was immaculate, smelt clean it even had water and some coffee and sugar. It was spacious and comfortable and everything was working. The host was friendly and accommodating. He arranged our airport transport for 3am and came to check us out at that time too.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.
