We were very impressed by Hotel Amaranth. The hotel is very close to the Mbezi bus station which was extremely convenient for our journey to the Usambara Mountains. The hotel kindly reserved our bus tickets for us, provided a free bus transfer to the station and prepared us all a packed breakfast to take with us, even though our bus was at 5:30am! The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the on-site restaurant was lovely.

This was one of our favorite stays in Dar E Salam. A point to note if you’re planning to go to Mbudya Island this is a great option as it's pretty close to the beach where you take the boat from. Danny, the host, is super accommodating and if you need anything whether related to the place or just information related to your itinerary he’s more than ready to help you out. The two nights we stayed here, Danny was on leave. He took us to two beaches close by on his own. He also took us to a supermarket and pharmacy in the area. We even got to experience buying octopus and squid from a local fish point and a restaurant on the beach cooked it for us. All thanks to Danny! The place is ideal for a group of friends. I highly recommend Danny’s place if you ever decide to visit this part of the city.

A lovely homestay, I had a one night booking close to the airport for an overnight connection, but due to flight delays I stayed 3 nights. It was just perfect, clean, comfortable, great A/C and WiFi and a tasty breakfast with the biggest juiciest freshest home grown mangoes . Definitely recommend and will return next time passing through Dar. Thank you Tony and Janet for being such welcoming hosts!

Great location, we felt very safe and secure. The driver was kind enough to walk us to purchase dinner at the local bar. Communication was fantastic. Highly recommend
