location , accommodation , food , wine, and excellent personal service. We also had a wine tour and tasting at Quinta de Cume, which was booked for us by the receptionist, and we walked though the vineyards to get to it… views phenomenal . The unexpected tour of the original house and the explanation of history of the vineyard and property by the son of the owner was exceptional . This happened before an exceptionally tasty dinner which we had at the property … truly a memorable stay and I would highly recommend .

A stunning location with beautiful views all around! The property is immaculately maintained, lovely tall cypress trees line the outdoor areas with views of the vineyards & river beyond. Very comfortable rooms, wonderful interiors. Many options for sitting outdoors, including a pool. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast and dinner, excellent service! We tried many of the wines both from Quinta Nova as well as the Dao winery - superb 👌

The family that takes care of the casa is so nice! They had stocked the pantry with all the essentials and more. Fresh oranges to make juice, hams cheeses, etc. I also loved the breakfast basket in the morning. So thoughtful. The room is big, plenty of space to be comfortable. If I go back to the Douro valley one day, that's where I want to stay.

A small and very comfortable studio, just a few minutes walk from the train station, and right in the centre of the small town. It's extremely well equipped for the size, and we were very comfortable for our two night stay. The host was very responsive, check-in was super easy and the views from the terrace are really lovely. We recommend it!

    The location was really good, really near the train station and shops. The house was spotless and the host had even left Bread, ham,cheese, butter, jam, orange juice and milk for us! The bed was so comfy and the Air conditioning was a nice bonus. The shower was warm and had good pressure. We really enjoyed out stay here. Pedro the hsit was exceptional. He was so good at communicating with us and sent us so much information on the town and things to do.

    This apartment was very clean and well stocked with little essentials and snacks in the kitchen. Location was perfect and a beautiful little sitting area right outside the front door. We were only there for 1 night but it was perfect.

    The guest house was in a perfect location and was very stylish. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was ok. Parking was a huge bonus. Views from the house were wonderful. Its an easy walk to town for restaurants and boat trips. Bruno has a vinyard and makes delicious wines. Definitely worth trying while relaxing in the lounge. Highly recommend this guest house.

    In Douro Backpackers you feel that the staff has had all the experiences of backpacking themselves and turned it into the very best practice you can imagine. We felt more than welcome from the very moment we opened the door until the heartfelt goodbye. It is the perfect location to meet up with other travellers, the roofterrace and the breakfastroom are ideal spots for this purpose. We never in our whole lifes (which are pretty long, with lots of travelling) have never come across a place like this. Go there and see for yourselves!

    We stayed on the ground floor, and were pleasantly surprised by the size, and presentation of our room. The view from our 'terrace', the 'pool' and the breakfast room was beautiful - probably the nicest in all of Pinhao! The location is also ideal if you don't mind a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Pinhao - although I wouldn't recommend the route for young families as the start of the walk is along the roadside. There is also a gorgeous HUGE dog who lives on site - a gentle giant :)
