One could hardly find a more romantic location - right next to a canal, maybe 40cm above the water level. There were chairs and a table (and even an umbrella) one could put out in front of the apartment by the canal (we didn't, it was a bit cool). Despite the privacy one felt there, the apartment is also extremely conveniently located - maybe a three minute walk from cathedral and tourist info. My wife said she thought the bed was the most comfortable she'd ever had.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Appartement in de Pastorie. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short and pleasant walk from the city center, yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood that feels like a retreat from the bustle. The apartment itself is beautifully restored, blending historic charm with modern comfort. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, from the cozy furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen. We especially loved the little terrace—perfect for a morning coffee or a relaxing evening. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, offering great tips for local spots and making sure we had everything we needed. The free on-site parking and fast Wi-Fi were also big pluses.     The hotel's location is excellent. Staff were friendly, and you have lots of facilities around (including a cinema and different restaurants). It's only a short walk to the castle and to the main shopping street. Public transport is right around the corner. The view of the city hall from my room was wonderful.

    This is a lovely hotel in a very good location. The room was big and comfortable with a lovely view. It was easy to get to with public transport. And I could go for a walk in one of the parks nearby. The shops are also close, and I could go the market on the Saturday. This is easy enough to get to Utrecht and other places while staying in a small town with lovely trees, history and beautifil surroundings. The restaurant downstairs was good, and I enjoyed being able to go to a movie without leaving the building.
