I had booked Somptua Garden for my parents for their 1 night transit and they really loved the facility!! Other than the amazing staff, excellent food and cleanliness, they offer first transfer from airport to the location, which is highly appealing for people travelling first time to the country. Moreover, Mrs Fortuna, the public relations officer was constantly communicating with me... As I couldn't reach my parents upon their arrival, she reassured me of their safe arrival at the airport and at their property, up till they left for their next flight... She even checked if my parents were able to book their tickets to Diego Suarez... I highly recommend Somptua Garden for their amazing place and exceptional services.

Josiane is the sweetest and kindest person you can meet. Just being her guest is a pleasure. She does everything for you and treats you like family. Just to be her guest I would come back. You are staying in a part of her house which is very well protected(Tana is not a very safe town) and she always made sure we were safe. The house offers everything you need. Every morning she made us homemade breakfast and told us a lot about the benefits of the dishes. All ingredients were local and we always got a fresh honey comb from her own bees. She also made us Lunch and dinner. She organized tours for us and did a cacao Workshop in her own kitchen for us because she got a diploma for that. Even if she's not fluent in English she went out of her way to speak English with us and explain everything to us. Not a lot of people would do that. Not for Tana but for Josiane I would come back and recommend anyone to stay with her because it is a real treat and she is a true gem. Thank you so much Josiane, you gave us a good start on our journey through Madagascar :) <3

A really lovely guest house, located in a great spot as a tourist. The staff go above and beyond, and were lovely to deal with. There are many food options within a ten minute walk, and the area is safe. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and it's very reasonably priced. Would recommend!

I am so grateful for Eliene at the reception. She helped me buy my Cotisse ticket and booked a taxi for me so I could safely get to the Cotisse transport in the dark early morning. She was always smiling and kindly answered all of my questions. ​The room was simple but tidy and clean. There is a traditional market nearby, where I bought tomatoes and ate local food. It is a great place for travelers to stay. The hotel is located on a hill, but it was no problem for me.
