We were traveling around Issyk-Kul Lake with our three young children, searching for a quiet and beautiful place to stay. When I came across Taberik, I was initially hesitant — the place had no reviews, and traveling with kids, comfort is our top priority. But the location looked so stunning that I decided to take a chance. And I’m so glad I did — Taberik exceeded all our expectations. We were warmly greeted by Meyrambek, the owner, who welcomed us with tea and cookies and shared that they had just opened for their very first season. The entire place is brand new and built with great attention to detail. The setting is breathtaking: nestled at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by untouched nature, with yurts and cozy cabins scattered across the land. The cabins have heating, hot water, and high-speed internet via Starlink, which was a pleasant surprise given the remote location. The interiors are thoughtfully designed — wooden furniture, natural materials, spotless cleanliness, and a cozy atmosphere. You can immediately feel that a lot of care, resources, and investment went into creating this place. We passed by several other guesthouses along the way, and honestly, none of them came close to Taberik. It’s truly a different level of comfort and beauty. There’s also a stunning waterfall nearby, adding to the magic of the place. This location touched my heart so deeply that I couldn’t resist writing this review — and I don’t do that often. The rooms are newly decorated and very clean. We had 2 great nights together with the owner family and the other guests around the table eating Nazira's homemade bread, juice, jam and traditional dishes.

The most hospitable place we stayed at in Kyrgyzstan. The owner is super friendly and even joined us for dinner. Dinner and breakfast was tasty. The yurt was very comfortable, clean and cozy. Sufficient blankets were provided for cold mountain nights.

Aizada and Jalil Are amazing hosts, very welcoming, easy communication on what’s app and good information about activities and trips in the surrounding mountains. Clean, good breakfast. Would highly recommend staying and would stay again if we come back to Karakol!!

The host, Maxim surely goes above and beyond to make sure that we had the most comfortable stay. And indeed, we loved it. The hostel itself is awesome, very comfortable bed in the tent, super clean bathroom and toilet, lovely kitchen and perfect meeting space with other travellers. Also the price is surely a steal! Couldn’t find a better deal than this. Would definitely come back if I have the chance to.

This is a really great hostel. We stayed in the double room and it was perfect, great value for money. Nice hot showers and nice shared kitchen. Lovely staff. Also there is a washing machine 😊

Great hotel in Karakol. Very nice and helpful owner who speaks great English, comfortable room, lunch box provided when we were leaving before breakfast time. Beautifully decorated communal room, fridge and water provided in the room and tea in the dinning hall, private parking. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!
