Lovely cottage in a wonderul countryside near Iraklio. The cottage has everything you might need for a relexing and comfortable stay. Very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in front of the house in the shade of the olive trees very much. The area is quiet at day and night and offers numerous walks of different lenghts in various directions. Our hosts were always available to help us with any information we needed. There is a little supermarket in the nearby village with a very good selection of vegetables, bread and meats. Nearest town Gazi with larger supermakets and a great gift and household goods shop (on the main street, you can´t miss it) and Ammoudara beach are only a 10-15 minutes´ drive away. Crete´s main town Iraklio with the extrodinary archeological museum featuring Minoan culture and civilisation is only 20-30 minutes´ drive away, with parking available in the port for 3 EUR/day. We loved all of it so much that we hope to visit again soon.

Probably the first place where we stayed where the reality exceeds the property photos. This is a gem! Beautiful, tastefully restored little house in a quiet remote village which is really close to Heraklion by car, just in 10 minutes you suddenly find yourself in a different world than the touristy seashore, a piece of traditional, rural Crete. But be aware, you do need a car - which is cheap to rent in Crete anyway. The owners left some tasty local products for us (honey, butter, marmalade, some bakery product, olive oil, even raki!) so we didn't have to care about the first breakfast. There is a place to park just in front of the house which is very convenient. (Don't be shy on the narrow streets that leads there, the car will fit).

Besides the warm hospitality of Stella and the neighbors, who, seeing that we were traveling with a child, did not stop giving us all kinds of attention and care, we loved the rural atmosphere of the town and how impeccabile and well-kept the house was. The washing machine was very useful for us too!

Very nice house off the beaten track. Quiet, peaceful, with everything you need for a comfortable stay - including exactly the right amount of cats in the garden:) We didn't meet the owner but she was really helpful and the house was perfectly prepared.

    Amazing romantic location in the quiet hills. The hotel is small and private and all the rooms are actually apartments. The hosts are what makes this place, very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to experience Crete away from touristic beaches. Additionally, we ate some of our best meals in the Taverna enjoying great views of the valley.

    Excellent facilities and very helpful host. Location was around 30-40 mins from Heraklion town centre but the host provided us with a very reliable and friendly taxi service. The standard of the villa and helpfulness of the host made it a very enjoyable stay.

    A warm welcome with a complimentary glass of wine on the terrace. A very comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Great rural location. Fabulous food in the property's taverna, friendly and attentive service, overlooking the village and beautiful countryside.

    Very nice location, with very friendly hosts. The view from our balcony was fantastic. The swimming pool is great. The shower was great and so were the bathroom facilities. You can walk to the village, where you can find a few nice tavernas with good food.

    Loved the location in the countryside, beautiful pool and venue. There's an amazing restaurant up the hill, but the venue itself can also make some good food (breakfast and dinner). And the people were super friendly and willing to help with everything. Loved staying here!
