The location was fantastic in the heart of Old Glossop, which is really beautiful, and with access to beautiful countryside to walk or trail run. Room was comfortable and clean. Had a good nights sleep. The Bull, Queens Arms and Distant Hills Brewery plus Shepleys Cafe meant there were lots of very local eating options. I had a great short break.

We were cycling the trans pennine trail, and this stop over was perfect. No evening meals the night we were there but we were OK to order in a takeaway (plates were also provided and washed up for us!) Breakfast was lovely (we had full English and Eggs Royale and cereal, fruit and pastries also included). Bikes were secure in the locked (and cctv covered) bar area, no problem that they, and us, were dripping wet! Didn't see a lot of the area as it was dark when we arrived, but the surrounding countryside and hills were beautiful the next day

The locations was great. Just at two entrances of the Peak District, one of them being the scenic Snake Pass. The place was very clean and the rooms very comfortable. It also included breakfast and the host was very kind and helpful.

    The staff are fantastic, the pub is really great (the ales are perfect), and the curry house on the middle floor is excellent too. Whether you want to spend time in Glossop, or walk in the hills, the location is ideal. The cooked breakfast is made to order and really tasty.
