We very much enjoyed the homey atmosphere of the Lister Arms. The food was delicious, the included breakfast quite filling-perfect for a full day of hiking. We felt very spoiled by the king sized bed, and it was very appreciated for a restful night. We loved the hikes around Malham and not having to worry about driving or parking, so the location was excellent. The pub had 4 choices of non-alcoholic beer: for those who don't drink, that's a great and rare offering!

Just the best place to stay if you want a traditional pub in a great location, with fabulous friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble at this lovely country pub and the rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food is first class with great menu choices and the French twist adds to the whole experience. Breakfast is also superb and served with a smile, to set you up for a pleasant day. Great choice of walks from the doorstep in this beautiful small village, along with a friendly welcoming bar for that well earned drink, after a day out in the Dales.

We stayed for one night on our way to the lake district. We arrived late on a Sunday night and the kitchen was closed. The staff were very good and organised some really good smoked salmon sandwiches and chips, which were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast the next day was good too. We will definitely go back for a longer stay.

From start to finish our visit was amazing. Rina and Ian are lovely hosts who are both incredibly hard working. The property is well kept from inside and out with a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door to when you leave. All the food is also amazing and sourced locally which is an added extra bonus for me. Thank you Rina and Ian once again.

The cabin was set in a lovely scenic area. Perfect for a quiet get away. On a night you can see the stars really well. We liked the dog pen that was set up for our dogs to have a little freedom. The cabin had everything we needed, we felt very comfortable there. Our dogs also loved their little holiday. The owners were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. You could park right next to your cabin which was great. The mood lighting inside was a nice touch too. We had a lovely get away for Christmas, the owners left us chocolates and treats for our dogs which was very kind.

    Fantastic host, location and property. Really nice cottage, very clean and Steve (owner) was very friendly without being overbearing. We will definitely use again. I highly recommend the Harts Head pub, it was fab.

    Steve was a fantastic host. Very friendly and welcoming but also advised some great walks around the area. The cottage is in an ideal location for dog walks and right next to two nice pubs.

    Excellent location, quiet and walks on the door step. Few minutes from the railway station and directly opposite the pub. Very clean and cosy. Had everything we needed for a short stay over. Would definitely stay again. Host very accommodating, friendly and informative about the area. Great accommodation for the price.

    Loved this cottage! Very clean, modern but with tradition also there. A information folder which had everything you would need to know, from how to work appliances to takeaways to things to do, very organised which was very helpful. Communication was very good and quick to reply. Great location had loads to do. Would definitely re visit in the future.

    Greeted by Steve who was an absolutely lovely man & very helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean with plenty of books & games if needed. Beautiful location with The Black Horse pub a stones throw away (The Gammon & chips is highly recommended)
