Full English breakfast was superb and very filling! Orange juice and tea also available, with top-ups if required. Cereals also offered, but declined as our cooked breakfast was more than sufficient. The accommodation was much better than expected: bedroom large, comfortable bed, shower room modern and clean. We also made use of the very large lounge area, with its comfortable seating and TV. Dining area had lovely rural views. The owners made us feel very welcome, so much so that we hope to go back!

The location is situated on the highest part of Brecon. So the landscape views especially from the living room area where we were served breakfast overlooking the lovely open garden and overlooking brecon beacons. The room was quite comfortable with views as well as you feel you are in the middle of the countryside. Jen the host is fantastic. Makes you feel welcome and very helpful, plus serving us a great breakfast.

This was a wonderful place to stay with a comfortable room with everything you could want. A lot of thought had gone into providing a very high standard of extras, such as fresh milk and having hot chocolate available if desired. All this, combined with the friendliness and unobtrusive helpfulness of the host and her delicious breakfasts made for an unforgettable stay in Brecon.

    Location is so peaceful and the lodge is so comfortable and well equipped. Sitting by the log burner with a cup of coffee and a book was wonderful. Very comfy bed. Wildlife was great - birds, rabbits, ducks, squirrels. Stars at night were amazing!!! It was such a great stay. Hosts are fabulous and very helpful. Trips into Brecon for coffee, cake, and general pottering around were brill.

    Dark Sky Lodge is a good size accommodation.Location was great for us as we were looking for a quiet place.It’s in the middle of forest so the nights were pitch black and we were able to see a shooting stars.Its a truly special place.

    Private location, set on its own patch of Rose & Paul’s huge garden! Safe, Secure and extremely comfortable! Amazing hosts! Had the key waiting for us and the log burner burning away on arrival! EPIC start to a fantastic break. Not to mention fresh mince pies on the table…….they didn’t last long! For anyone looking for an easy and relaxing break - this is it! You can go out and explore or feel at home beside the log burner watching Netflix! Definitely recommended!
