Shaun and Kate are perfect hosts. We felt at home right from the start. The house is tastefully decorated with a sense for the details and the room was large, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom had a window and a bathtub with a modern shower. The bed was comfortable and we slept really well. Although we didn't use it, there is also a nice hot tub in the large garden. There are numerous bird feeders all around the premises and it was joyful to watch the birds during our meals and from our room. We enjoyed the three course dinner as well as the breakfast freshly made with lots of love. We had interesting conversations with our kind hosts and would love to come back in the future. The location is perfect for visiting nearby attractions.

Excellent cabin with private bathroom in the main house. Our host, Tony, was delightful and cooked up an exceptional breakfast. We would definitely recommend this a place to stay, especially if travelling onwards to the highlands or coming back from the highlands. The surrounding farmland is very scenic and opportunity for a short, morning walk.

What a lovely Lodge, such a gorgeous setting and the Lodge itself is so beautiful. We loved our rooms, a comfortable couch and everything is so well laid out. I am an ambulant wheelchair user and appreciated that the light switches were suitably placed and there was a ramp. There is a hot tub! I mean that alone was anmazing and I could get in and out due to its placement. Just lying there enjoying the mountains and the house martins swooping in the sky was worth it. The free body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as some tea and coffee also added to the welcome we felt. The housecoats were useful to keep the floor dry after going between the shower and hot tub too. We were grateful we could bring our dog as well.

    Superb quiet location on the edge of the forest but only a short stroll into town. The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and was spotlessly clean. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. It's a great base for walking, cycling or just chilling out, I'll definitely return.
