Posada de Valdeón is a great little town in a fantastic location. It has far fewer people (though also services) than places like Potes or Cangas, but we much preferred it to the larger places. It's right inside the national park and there are loads of walking trails very nearby. We left the valley a couple of times, but didn't really need to.

There were four of us just coming off the trail after four days and we got a small room together with two bunk beds. The staff were nice and we ate all of our meals there which were great. The showers and bathrooms were great. Everything was super clean and it was so worth the money.

The house was super clean and overall it was a nice place. The housekeeper Jorge was very helpful even though he can’t speak English. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to explore Picos de Europa.

    During our entire stay in Spain, this hotel was absolutely the best. It's perfectly located 5 min walk from a little town with bars/restos but it's slightly remote. The view on the mountains was breathtaking. The hotel itself is decorated beautifully, it's very clean and comfortable. The hosts are the nicest people. Plus the swimming pool!!! We had an amazing stay and we will be back.

    Simple facilities in a fabulous location that suited us well. We were able to self cater with ease but did bring fresh produce with us as we were aware that shop options were very limited. Nice to have fresh bread from the bakery. Enjoyed eating out on the porch to enjoy the glorious surroundings. Outdoor pool a bonus with mountain views

    Beautiful hotel in the heart of the Picos de Europa. Excellent location for the top end of the Ruta del Cares & the amazing Valdeon Picos visitor centre. Host was charming and the food simple but excellent Best room of our trip.

    Very quiet, tranquil setting with amazing mountain views. Cosy wood-panelled room, very clean and well-equipped. Personal and friendly service, with fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast. The restaurant wasn't open for dinner but there are a couple of places to eat in the village, and a bakery where it's possible to buy snacks etc. Great location to start/finish La Ruta del Cares or hike up to Collado Jermoso.

    location below mountains with lovely riverside garden. village is ideal for walking routes, and with 3-4 bars/cafe/ restaurants. Luis and his wife have built and now run excellent accommodation with fine food and drink and company.
