Great location dead in the city center. Plenty of restaurants around and a well stocked supermarket right next door. Room nice spacious and clean. One tip - you can use airco also to heat the room, if you are cold at night. Took me a while to figure that out :-) The owner at the breakfast is the kindest person ever - cakes, pastries, bread are all local products, and he would even encourage me to make a sandwich for the route and take some fruit along on my way out. Also excellent coffee! I can only recommend the place. It made my stay in Grado truly memorable.

The property is recently renovated and is a truly beautiful place to spend your first night on the Camino. Located directly near the Tourist Office, opposite a Bar, with Supermarkets within walking distance, and only metres from where you will continue your walk, Villagrado Suites provides the perfect stopping point. The rooms have a beautiful view over either the quaint Grado square or the mountains (depending which way you are facing), provide new and large bathrooms, a very roomy elevator (2x people plus hiking bags OR 4x large adults), electronic locks for easy remote/late access and are soundproofed; I couldn’t hear anything! Most importantly though, the people who run and manage Villagrado are incredible. They are the heart and soul of the Camino experience and represent what we all hope to find on our Pilgrimage, or even our short holidays; passionate, kind, patient, and willing to assist in any way. My flights were delayed and it meant my first night in Oviedo was cancelled and I had to move everything to Grado to begin at only 1x days notice. This meant I had to reorganise my bag pickup (my travel bag being sent forward to Santiago), organise how to get from Oviedo Station to Grado (20kms), and organise a late check-in… Jose and Said were incredible. They communicated in almost real-time, providing everything from helping me get from Oviedo Station to Villagrado (Said picked me up personally and was such a great human), reorganise my bag pickup (Jose came in early the next morning to ensure my Bag was ready and tagged for DHL), and even organised me a Pilgrims Pass so I didn’t have to wait for the Tourist office to open, and organised me my first stamp from the Bar/Cafe opposite. They were simply amazing. In short, stay here if you can… for the room and location (sure), but for the people, the kindness and the commitment to ensuring you are made welcome and never forget Villagrado 🙏🏻

Amazing villa, perfect for getting our new puppy! Host provided plenty of amenities and even brought some cidre and puppy pads too. The villa is located in a beautiful little village and perfect if you plan to stay with pets, plenty of room to roam but also totally secure with a fence, so easy to relax. Hosts were also amazing and you could tell they genuinely cared whether we had a good stay or not which is becoming rare these days. If you book with them, you will not be disappointed. 10/10, will be back.

Beautiful apartment. Spotless. Really comfortable. Fantastic shower. Fantastic kitchen. Too big for me as a solo traveler,but, I was stuck. I was running very late on my check in day and the staff were very accommodating and responded to my communications promptly. If you are doing the Camino Primitivo as a group of 2 or 3 definitely check this place out.

    So happy to be given a little apartment for my stay, with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom on a mezzanine floor. It was great to be able to do my washing and washing powder etc was supplied. Everything was very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful too, making suggestions for evening meal and sharing other useful information. There was a lovely selection for breakfast.

    The location was perfect for me as I was walking the Camino Primitivo and the hotel s almost on the route itself. There are cafes and a supermarket nearby which was helpful. I had a small extra bag to transport to my next accommodation and it all worked out perfectly. I left the bag at reception the next morning. I left early so did not get the breakfast. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. The room was spacious and had everything needed including a small balcony and a spacious batthroom.

    Lots of character and beautifully restored building. Lovely spacious room with mountain view. Ample safe parking with room for my trailer. Restaurant on-site. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location for access to motorway (although beware Google satnav which misplaced the hotel location).

    Great hotel, super clean and a great welcome from staff. Excellent location, really central but downside is the noise because of this but if you are a pilgrim and super tired, I doubt it will keep you awake. Good range at breakfast, almond cake delicious.

    Lovely location on a hill overlooking Grado. The hotel is very quirky with lots of interesting furniture. We arrived early and the owner kindly came to open up for us. The room was big, clean and comfortable. There is a lovely terrace at the back and the restaurant was very good. Good buffet breakfast included.
