We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Demaj. The breakfast was fabulous, with fresh and varied options. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Berat’s historic center, making it easy to explore the town. But without a doubt, the best part was the hospitality and generosity of the owners, especially their son, who was absolutely amazing – always ready to help, guiding us throughout our stay, and with an impressive level of English. We really felt at home. Highly recommended!

the property is perfect! it is in the old part of Berat, with characteristic buildings all around. The owner helped us with our luggage from the car park to the property. the rooms are traditional Albanian and tastefully decorated with articles of excellent craftsmanship. The terrace and the dining area are very beautiful. The room had a great view of the river and the part of the town on the opposite side of the river. There are a couple of very good restaurants and bakeries in the area near the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and varied like a feast. The service is very personalized as it's a family-run property with very nice owners. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Berat.

The structure of the hotel is really nice, well designed and pleasant everything you see around. Its location is great, we just parked the car (hotels free parking) and walked everywhere. The staff was amazing, everybody was trying to help and they are really professional. Breakfast and service was really good as well. I was really surprised to see such well managed place in such a small town. Thumbs up

All was perfect; very clean & comfortable. we loved the terrace and that we could have breakfast there with an amazing view on the old city. very welcoming owners; parking in front of the building - also perfect for exploring the city by foot.

Everything. If staying in Berat, make sure to stay within the Castle rather than down in the town and definitely stay at Hotel Klea. Our room was on the small side and functional but the hotel itself, the setting and the restaurant are exceptional. Walking around the old castle in the evening is a must as is eating in the Hotel Klea restaurant. Ksenophon was our host and he not only recommended dishes, drinks and places to visit but also sat down with us at the end of the evening for a raki or two
