Spotlessly clean, spacious and fully equipped with two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen, the guest house has everything you will need. The shady patio behind the house has comfortable seating and lovely plantings. Every detail has been carefully planned. The hosts, especially Ines, are extremely helpful and hospitable; they even went to Carrefour to buy beer for me! The location is excellent. The Medina is not far and there are several good restaurants, cafes and shops all within a couple of minutes walk.

This is THE PLACE for vegetarians/vegans. Fatima worked at a vegetarian restaurant in Belgium, and is now cooking amazing vegetarian dinners for guests. I spent a month in Tunisia, and this was the only place where I was able to appreciate the diversity of local cuisine as a vegetarian. Our stay was wonderful! And the location is perfect, from here you can visit the dessert, the salt flats and many canyons in a rental car, no need for 4x4 car and no need for expensive tours. The roads to most places have now been paved and unpaved roads are in good condition too. Thank you so much to Fatima for taking such good care of us from breakfast and dinners to extra blankets and helping us to get the best haircut!

Beautiful place and the staff was exceptionallly helpful. They helped set up a place with great internet in the middle of the oasis and at midnight because I had a meeting that I couldn’t miss. Also, the quality of the breakfast was amazing: fresh and delicious. Wow for the date jellies offered for breakfast: chocolate , caramel, syrup. If we come back to Tozeur , will definitely stay in Villa Taouzert.

I had a wonderful time at Dar El Caid and would definitely stay there again. It's such a beautiful place, with special decorative touches that give it a very unique feel. It's like a lovely little oasis tucked away within the medina. It was peaceful, clean, and very quiet, which I really appreciated, and there's even a cute resident turtle who hangs out near the pool. The staff are also exceptional.- kind and very welcoming. Issam made himself available at all hours and was willing to help in any way he could, even offering to bring me medication when I was sick for a day and arranging a personal tour to nearby sites when I felt better. His hospitality and service to the people who stay there are top-notch, and I hope his employer appreciates his dedication as much as I did. Because of him and everything else I've mentioned, I can say that I recommend this hotel without hesitation!
