You should hire a car anyway to see the entire island, its gorgeous. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests during our stay and the breakfast of bread and fresh fruit was delightful. We had a wonderful stay at Fare Mirimiri. Perched on a hillside with breathtaking views, this guesthouse offers the perfect setting to relax and soak in the beauty of Raiatea. We arrived at the Apooiti Marina in Raiatea after a week of sailing, we were of course expecting to wait a few minutes, but Cathy, the owner, was already there to meet us. From the moment we got in the car, she made us feel very welcome. When we arrived at the guesthouse, we felt like we were in paradise. The house, surrounded by nature, is tucked away on a hill with breathtaking views. Every room offers a spectacular view. Cathy was simply amazing. Her kindness and generosity made our stay truly special. We arrived just before sunset, and I thought it would be nice to have an apero on the balcony and enjoy the view, but of course, we didn’t have anything to drink. I asked Cathy if we could perhaps buy a beer from her, but she didn’t think she had any. BUT a few minutes later she came back and gave us two beers. This is what I mean by generosity! The house was spotless and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a welcoming atmosphere and stunning scenery, Fare Mirimiri is the ideal spot. We would go back in a heartbeat!
