We stayed here during our family trip to NZ and I remember this was one of the best places we’ve stayed. We cooked dinner and the kitchen had everything we needed. The lake was within 5 mins drive away so we went there for stargazing at night which was amazing.

A lot of people have pointed out that it offers little privacy due to the many glass panels and windows but we didn't find it a problem as there were ample blinds in all the rooms and shared spaces. The fact that each room had its own bathroom was a huge plus point. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed to cook a simple breakfast. Location was fantastic too. Easily the nicest place we stayed at during our trip around the South Island.
