Its proximity to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, just a 3-minute drive, was incredibly convenient. Additionally, Mr. Magdy was exceptionally helpful in arranging transportation, making everything seamless. The food was absolutely delicious, and I must commend the chefs for their amazing culinary skills. As a chai lover, I couldn’t resist asking for more along with Banana Fritters 😌😌😌. A special shoutout to Mr. Ben, the night guard, whose presence felt safe and well taken care throughout my stay.

Aitong
Located in Aitong, Enkusero Mara offers accommodation with seating area. This luxury tent provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Small (3 tents, one of which is a large family tent), intimate, charming camp, unfenced, ideally located, in the north conservancy, just 5 minutes from the Maasai Mara’s Musiara gate entrance, 15 minutes from the air strip. Completely local ownership and management, which we highly value and one of the reasons we chose this, together with the location and the small size. We had tent 3, high on stilts, large, private, wooden floors, huge netted windows, outside deck all around, unobstructed views on the savannah. Big comfortable bed with good mattress, en-suite bathroom with toilet and huge shower, running water. Electricity and hot water are solar - electricity is around the clock, so maybe the camp tops it up at night with a generator, but we never heard one. Large, charming traditional mess tent, with bar area, and extra lounge, wonderful outdoor deck with fire pit, small plunge pool with deck chairs. Food was excellent, they will apparently cater to dietary needs but have a fixed menu. Most meals in the mess tent, some scenically set in the bush. All drinks were included as was daily laundry. Highly knowledgeable and dedicated guides (William the owner, and Alex), game drives were mostly inside the park and arranged as and when we wished, with picnic breakfast and/or lunch, or not, as we wished. Park fees were included which made the offer we got superb value for money. We had been on safari several times almost 4 decades ago when luxury safaris were mobile or semi-permanent tented camps, small, unfenced, only with simple drop toilets and hot bucket showers, communication only via radio, bush cooking, communal mess tent and fire pit… but with an abundance of local staff delivering perfect, exclusive service. That’s the feeling we were looking for again and this is the closest we found on our trip to Kenya: very similar traditional, exclusive safari feeling , experience and charm, with great service, modern comforts, but no excesses and low imprint.

This is an amazing place where Massai tribe works and provide income for locals. Tents are comfortable, the stories, activities etc really nice, the visit of hot springs, Massai village and nature walk fantastic. Food was simple but nicely seasoned and tasty. Views from the restaurant (and a toilette) spectacular. Highly recommended experience.
Amazing way to see Masai Mara. Owner Magdy was super attentive and helped organise our transport from Nairobi to the campsite within 30min notice, arranged a great safari (Thank you driver Alex) and drove us to Masai village. Food was very tasty and all staff at campsite super friendly and kind. Felt very safe and well looked after.
- Location inside conservatory makes it easy to spot and get close to ALL the animals during game drives - Our driver Erick was the best! - Incredibly friendly and accommodating team (Caleb, Erick, George, Rotiken!) - Amazing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner - this really adds to the experience - Beautiful, luxurious and clean rooms (you can hear the animals at night) - Incredible massages by Lenet! - The activities offered (balloon ride, walking safari's, village visit)
Staff is very gentile and very pleasant - they are engaged with their work. Access from the park gate is easy if you have to leave or reach not paying park access fee the route is not so good (aprox 1h to do 20km from one village to the other - no concrete route)
1. Location 2. Friendliness and promptness of staff 3. Property rooms 4. Activities were excellent - The Masai village visit, game drives, the massages and the sundowner.
We really enjoyed our stay in this camp, Magdy and the staff who are very kind and helpful, the visit to Masai village and the safaris of course. Everything was just perfect.
The location is fantastic right beside the Talek gate, our Masai village excursion and 2no. full-day game drive safaris were just perfect and great value too. Our accommodation was even kindly upgraded F.O.C. Animals frequent the campsite and the sounds at night make it such a surreal experience, we could not recommend enough. All the staff are super friendly and the dinners were delicious!
The property is a true gem in the middle of the Masai Mara area.. it’s close to the gate but the roads are very bumpy so be ready for some action… it’s also close to Masai Mara village where you can spend an hour with the locals who live there.. the cottages are clean and equipped and give you the feeling of Masai Mara adventures. The food is also nice not much of variety but acceptable.. our waiter “Samson” is very friendly and helpful and so is everyone working there.
