Buddhist temple berusia 1000 tahun, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in menawarkan penginapan gaya Jepun, taman yang indah serta Wifi percuma. The temple and grounds are stunningly beautiful. The room was the nicest I've had on this trip - comfortable and beautiful. The temple is cold but the heaters in the bedrooms made it very comfortable. The meals were delicious - again some of my best on my entire trip. They were very generous in sharing information about their religion and culture, and inviting tourists to participate in activities that helped us to better understand the life and routine at Ekoin. I appreciated the booklet in the room that explained how to navigate different things (e.g. the meditation, the morning service) so that I better understood. It was a special experience and was grateful for the opportunity to visit here.

The breakfast was probably the best I’ve ever had — not just in Japan, but ever! So much care in every detail with homemade and fresh yogurt, granola, breads and juices. The generous breakfast kept me full until afternoon! They were helpful with suggestions for the area. The central location is great — can walk to most places in Shirahama and near many restaurants and cafes. They also run a small cafe. I loved the care and attention to details. If in Shirahama again I would only stay here!

Ito-gun - House - Vacation STAY 31960v terletak di Kudoyama, 30km dari Kishi Station, 36km dari Jigenin Temple, dan 37km dari Saifuku-ji Temple. Everything about this place was perfect. I have stayed in many countries with Booking, and I must say this was the absolute best experience. Clean beyond words, it had EVERYTHING you could possibly need, the host was a great person who took care that we felt at home. It is a 5 minute walk from the cable car station that connects Koyasan with Osaka. The views of the location are peaceful and the neighbourhood was quiet. Don't even doubt about staying here, if you are looking for a sign, this is it. Our group of 3 friends were delighted and we wish we could stay longer in Kudoyama.

When we arrived, they welcomed us with tea and a small sweet, which was lovely. Our room was large and looked out to the garden, which was gorgeous. We went in November and the autumnal colours in the garden and the town were absolutely beautiful. In the morning we had the privilege to attend the prayer and we received a blessing. After breakfast it started to snow, so we spent an hour watching the garden slowly turn white, it was magical. The communal toilets were clean and the communal bath was small but comfortable. Because the town is up in the mountains, and the building is all wood and paper walls it was very cold in the corridors, but we had heating in the room and nice thick covers for the night. A highlight of the stay were the dinner and the breakfast. All vegan food, very tasty even for us, who are not vegan or vegetarian. It is very conveniently located to visit Okunoin cemetery, we took part in a night tour, something that we highly recommend. All in all it was a magical stay and I would highly recommend it.
