Loved and appreciated the foot onsen after a day of hiking Nakasendo. We ordered dinner, and breakfast and both were yummy and very generous sizes.

We especially enjoyed the bath as well as the common room. Our little girl was so happy about the train set available for play. The breakfast was delicious and our only regret was not booking dinner. We had such a great time staying at Compass Duo.The house was super clean and tip-top — seriously spotless! The response and location was great too, peaceful and convenient. We especially loved the relaxing walks around the area — so pretty and calm. Would definitely recommend it.

It’s an incredibly cute guesthouse with a great vibe. The shared kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of utensils to use and enough space to enjoy a cozy meal. There’s even a kotatsu! We also messaged them after booking to ask whether the room was mixed or female-only, as we were a bit concerned. We received a very quick response reassuring us that there was no need to worry and that a female-only room would be prepared for us. The owner is super friendly, and her positive energy is contagious. :) Since it’s located in an onsen town, there are plenty of opportunities to relax after a day of exploring.
