Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They gave a helpful tour of the place on arrival. The common space was clean and had lots of books to read or couches to relax on. The dormitory had lots of room with good curtains for your bed for privacy.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. Staff service very great. All explaination in sign is helpful.

Terletak hanya 2 minit berjalan kaki dari Stesen Takayama, Oyado Koto No Yume menawarkan bilik-bilik gaya Jepun dengan sentuhan berwarna-warni. It's really hard to express how superb this stay was. And it was only 1 day. I imagine this is thanks to type of the place, not being typical hotel, but rather traditional ryokan with it's quality. From the beginning, the staff was excellent. Helpful, informative, easy to talk to. The room, comparing to our other hotels, was huge. Sleeping on futon was our best sleeping experience during whole stay in Japan. We have booked private bath, and again - everything well prepared, all important things available in the room. We were provided also with yukatas to be used in ryokan, but in addition we could also use more colorful that could be used outside. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from main station and on the way to old town of Takayama. The last but not least - breakfast was the best we had in Japan. We have chosen Japanese one and we could try many elements.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. One of the highlights of our trip to japan. It's an amazing experience. We miss it already. Hope to come again in the future.

If you are are looking for an authentic Japanese old town house, this is the place for you. Futons were nice.

Place was very clean. Had a ton of beds for all of us to sleep in. Had everything we needed to cook with as well. Free parking was great as well

Very good location, 5-8 mins walk from most of the attractions with lots of eateries nearby as well. Apartment was very clean and very well-appointed.

House is superclean and it has everything. Location is great and Takayama is worth visiting. Would higly reccomend this place.
