The apartment is new and very clean. It has everything you need to spend a few days (kitchen, bathroom, etc.). Both the bed and the sofa bed are comfortable. It is easy to get to the house, as well as to access the apartment (opening the portal, parking, access to the key, ...). Breakfast is plentiful and varied (there is coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, jam... and also fruit, juice and yoghurt for the girls). The landlady is lovely. He lent us access (we arrived late) and everything we needed, and he also informed us of a music festival that was in town that day. Our experience was very good.

The setting was very nice, with close to all the attractions of the Mullingar area but in the countryside. The host's husband, who was filling in while she attended to family matters, was very friendly and even gave us a tour of his hurling stick manufacturing and shop. It's a gated yard, so it felt very secure, and the breakfast area had everything you needed for a little snack or a good start to the day!

We stayed at Templemacateer for one night while attending a festival in the area and the house and grounds exceeded our expectations in every way! One of the loveliest locations we've stayed at, with a beautifully kept house, vibrant gardens, and friendly hosts. We were even introduced to the farm animals, which made the trip for us! Templemacateer is a little slice of paradise.
