Communication with the host Was very good from the beginning! The house is situated at a small but nice beach. Very nice garden with a lot of nature and possibility to relax. The house is very well equiped! Bed is very comfortable. Quiet place. Wilta is a heard of a soul! She even cooked a nice dinner for my husbands birthday! Thank you so much again! Magnificent villa! Exceeded our expectations by 1000%. All photos correspond to reality. The villa is equipped to the highest standard, has everything you need and even more. Beautiful swimming pool. 1200 steps to the beach, the same distance to the store. Arnold, the owner of the villa, is always in touch, and we would like to thank you for any help. Many thanks to the managers Christopher and Mavis for everything, great dinners, a great trip around the island and help with any questions. I really want to come back to you as soon as possible, and I didn't want to leave. Wait for us again, we will definitely plan a vacation.

Jeanne is the greatest host in the World! Thank you for the most wonderful holiday trip! For all your kindly help in any questions! And especially for the Birthday cake for our youngest son. We've stayed at River Villa in the beginning of November. A family of 7. Now about the house. People are different and their needs are different. For our big family it was the best place. The house is situated in a quiet place. There is a wonderful garden with plants, flowers and fruits. Jeanne treated us all the time with different fruits. In the morning when you wake up you hear all the birds and frogs in the garden, like you are in the heart of the jungle, it's great! The house is really big. There are two bedrooms on the first floor snd two on the second, with bathroom for the each one. There is a big hall, where there are a lot of books and boardgames, in the evening our children played chess. The house is decorated in the colonial style. So it is a strange effect: the house is big, but cosy at the same time. In the kitchen you have everything you need and even more. 2 Fridges, oven, dishwasher, coffee-machine, electric teapot, all the kitchen things. There is a splendid place for the laundry. And washing machine. What else? You can reach the beach in 10 minutes by feet, there is a quiet little one not far from the house. And to reach shops and Bouvaloon it takes 20 minutes by feet. We fall in love with this place! Thank you, Jeanne! I hope some day we come back!

This is an absolutely lovely place: our room had a balcony that was perfect for having a drink whilst watching the stars, with gorgeous views during the day too. Location wise, you can walk to Beau Valone and Anse Major, but you need to rent a car to really appreciate Mahe properly. All the reviews mention how great Jerry is, but it bears repeating: he's one of the loveliest and most informative people I've met. You won't do better in terms of value for money: the Skyline View is amazing.

Booking online is always a bit of a gamble, but the Forest Lodge is exactly as promised. All the photos are legit and it is indeed a very cozy guest house a bit away from all the noise, except for the many animal sounds from the surrounding beautiful forest. What we valued most while staying there for 12 nights was first of all the outstanding kindness and helpfulness of the manager and his staff. We were even lucky enough to have been offered a dinner, which was absolutely fantastic. As mentioned, we were very happy with the ambient and the abundance of space in the room/studio. Siting on the balcony and drinking your favorite morning/evening drink while watching birds and fruit bats flying all around is as good as it gets. We were surprised how well the staff maintain clean and tidy rooms as well as the surroundings of the house. We were also a big fan of the in-house drinks fridge, which is self-service. The only thing that could see some improvement in my opinion is the kitchenette. It is useful, but very basic. The stove is painfully slow. A gas stove or induction plate would be a superb upgrade. For some people, it should be noted, that there is quite a walk to the beach. There is a small local beach, but it is not as nice as the main one in Beau Vallon and it is not extremely close either. That said, we had no problem walking every day and using the bus. There is plenty of bus stops all around and it is a good way to explore the island. From the lodge to the main road is about 8-10 minutes walk, and a further 1 minute to the bus stop and another 2 minutes to the closest shop. The local beach is around 10-15 minutes of walking and the Beau Vallon beach is around 30 minutes of walking. If this is a problem for you, rent a car. There is free parking at the lodge.

The villa is located in the calm and secluded location, meanwhile, with only 15 minutes walk to the buzzing centre of Beau Vallon Beach. Villa offers stunning views and you may enjoy your own private rocky beach down the stairs, which is perfect for snorkeling. Also, you will find a small grocery store 2 minutes walking distance, with anything you would need. We were greeted by Peter and had a smooth early check-in, which we really appreciated after a long flight. More to mention, each bedroom has direct views of the ocean. The place and the views worth a come back for sure!

    The villa is absolutely amazing with a stunning view and all needed facilities provided. Very comfortable beds, kitchen with all necessary accessories, lots of space. The best memories will be connected with our breakfasts on terrasse. Team was always nereby and ready to help at any topic. They gave tips on places to visit and helped on any urgent topic.

    This property is fabulous. Unfortunately, we stayed only for three nights but we had to leave the property early in the morning for our flight back. We stayed in the villa which was very spacious. The rooms were clean and the staff at your disposal, especially Rosita. There’s a waterfall nearby so you can enjoy the sound of water and birds and the view of stunning and relaxing nature around. The best moment was the rain in the evening when friends of mine and I were sipping coffee outside.

    The view from the balcony was out of this world. One morning we could see dolphins jumping just in front of the balcony! The decor is modern and the facilities available are beyond what one would expect in a rented holiday home.

    The VallonEnd Villas were immaculate in every ways and the Villa staff (although off-site) were all very nice and helpful. The views from the balcony/lounge/bedroom were incredible, right on the edge of the quiet area of the beach. The villa kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom were all fantastic. I would definitely return! Beautiful!
