Bohemian, authentic experience practically in the waves. The antithesis (and antidote to Cancun) We loved it and talk about it still - forget about 5-stars, this is the real (and increasingly rare) deal. Catch it while you can. Joan is a great, unobtrusive host but responsive when you need her.

Ikalar is so beautiful and extraordinary that words cannot describe it. I have never seen something like this before on planet earth. Everything was built with so much love, beauty, phantasy and in perfect harmony with nature and the cosmos. Thank you Andres for being a role model how creativity could flow into architecture. Very clean and modern apartment with a tiny pool on the roof. The owner even offer us a mexican dinner cooked by the housekeeper Mary, which was amazing and super tasty. We were there only for one night, but it was very comfortable, with big parking lot, supermarket near by, equiped kitchen etc. Can only recommend!

    We couldn't recommend this property more highly. All the staff were attentive and kind and would ensure your comfort was fully met at all times. The location is stunning, the property we stayed in was immaculate and we completely switched off, which is exactly all you need to do at Las Villas Akumal.

    We enjoyed the privacy of Las Villas Akumal -- having a beautiful beach just steps away -- having Jungle Fish Restaurant, which is both excellent and fun, so close to us -- having the Las Villas Akumal restaurant upstairs for breakfast.

    Fantastic place, right at the beach, where you can see hatching turtles and beautiful corals and fish to the right from the hotel at the pierce. Clean swimming pools and friendly staff. We loved our ocean view villa!

    Fantastic location right at the beach, secluded, beautiful, quiet, clean swimming pools- our baby enjoyed a little one! We saw small turtles hatching at the beach and plenty of corrals and fish to the right from the hotel while snorkelling. We had an ocean view villa and it was above and beyond stay.
