We had a lovely view of the mountains. The private onsen was very nice, but the public onsen is very good as well! The staff is very nice and always accomodating. If you like traditional Japanese food, you'll love what they serve during the evening and morning. I recommend to stay at this ryokan either during fall (momiji) or winter. We were a bit too early for the heavy snowfalls, but still managed to catch some snow the second evening. Even without the snow it was lovely. I can imagine it looks amazing with the fall colors!

We had the pleasure of staying at this property, and it was a fantastic experience. We had access to the entire house, and all the facilities were included, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. This place was an unexpected surprise. From the get go, the service was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious, decent view, great air conditioning, plenty of outlets as well to charge devices, and they even brought up our luggage that we had delivered from Sapporo for us. We were able to also book a private open air onsen as well with the option of sake. It was an amazing experience. We choose to have dinner from the hotel and it was amazing to. It did not disappoint. This was my first Ryokan onsen experience and I loved it.

Great view on the mountains from my room. Close to the stone steps of Ikaho. I also enjoyed the onsen, the one in the evening and the other in the morning.

Excellent experience of a traditional Ryokan, the staff were super friendly and we had a fantastic dinner, more special than we could have hoped for! The inn itself was very cozy, only 4 rooms so the guests were given full attention. A very nice private onsen as well (2 bath houses for 4 rooms but no waiting to use one).

The pure Japan experience! This is a location where the majority of the visitors are Japanese, which makes the stay most authentic. The Onsen are beautiful and dinners amazing. But, perhaps most important, the staff is extremely nice and helpful!
