This place is a Gem. Off the beaten track BUT WOW. Our hosts, Massimo and Siobhan were exceptional. Dinner was prepared by Massimo, an Italian Chef - best meal we had on our 5 week holiday. We only wish we stayed longer Thankyou guys, and make sure you look us up if you come to AUS

Owner waited for us to arrive from far away. However, she tried to charge us a late check in fee even though we arrived at a decent time. ( 11 PM) P.S. There was nowhere mentioned you need to pay extra 85 euros after a specific hour.

Silence. Renovated, very clean and equipped apartment, with comfortable beds, a new and well equipped kitchen, in the the nature. The owners live in the upper apartment, who are kind, open, friendly and therefore happy to help immediately in case of any questions. The apartment is close to the town of Chiavari on the mountain, accessible by car, the last kilometers require an experienced driver on the serpentine, but it is worth booking here, because the panorama is amazing. A great place to explore the Cinque Terre or just for a great rest. We are very happy to have found this place and met Sofia and Maurizio. Thank you for the wonderful days!

Absolutely stunning place. 173 steep stone steps up the hill, you reach this hidden gem in the middle of the Ligurian mountains. From morning till night, all you want to do is gaze over the mountains, and you will never wish to be anywhere else. Leo is the perfect host and then a little more. Very helpful and extremely kind, and in addition to this, he is a great cook🍋 We were lucky to get a chance to participate in his wonderful dinner. Thank you! Every morning he serves a luxurious breakfast on the terrasse, we felt very spoiled💕 In less than half an hour, you reach the Mediterranean and can jump into the beautiful turquoise water from eg. Chiavara, Sestri Levante, or anywhere else. A must is to visit Portofino, either by car, bus, or boat, departing from several harbors along the coast. Charming villages everywhere, but the best part of going to the coast is to return to the mountains and climb the 173 steps to your calm and lovely place ⛰️. Down the hill, there is a wonderful restaurant, Ca' di Prei, with local dishes, and a bit further down is the Michelin trattoria La Brinca. Make sure to book your table well in advance!🍝 We loved the car ride up the steep and narrow roads, and we learned to appreciate the steps from the parking lot to Farmhouse Castagnola 64. By the way, make sure to bring home a bottle or two of Leo and Lu's own olive oil 🫒
