The room was very spacious and clean. So was the bathroom. We were provided with soft towels and crisp clean bedsheets. Pillows were very soft and comfortable. You have a little basic safe to out your valuables in the room. We felt our things were very secure. But, the absolute best was our kitchen chef; he was amazing and sooo lovely and friendly. The food he cooked for us was amazing. You can have breakfast and lunch/ dinner on site. All the residence staff was great and very helpful. We utterly enjoyed our stay in the Pelican Residence.

We love everything about the apartment, the position, which is just a minute to the main highway that leeds to the city and to different places, the apartment itself and the equipments are all clean and intact and most of all the kindness of the owners which was awesome. The highlights of my stay were easily the staff and the location! This is not a beach side resort, but it is where you will see the true Gambian hospitality. Great conversations were had at the bar and it was so nice to see some of the local families using the pool and having fun. Th location is an easy walk to restaurants and main streets. Every night I walked to get food and back and never once felt unsafe. The room was big! Too big for just me. The place was clean and tidy and to top it off the resident dogs were so sweet and loved pats!

Having stayed at several properties in both Senegal and Gambia for 3 weeks (two which were 'luxury'), I can only say Riyan Apartments was my favorite overall: great quality-price ratio, extremely friendly, flexible and helpful staff and I will surely stay there next time I go to Gambia as well as recommend it to friends and family (I already have!). It had a 'Melrose Place' feel to it, the 90's TV series. The bedroom A/C worked perfectly which was a true lifesaver at night. Thanks so much to Fatima and all the team!

Central location, very nice staff who were welcoming and helpful. The garden and house is very nice, very homely. WiFi was good, they have solar power that comes on during power cuts. Both fan and Aircon. Reasonable price. Free tea and coffee and a shared kitchen that we could use. Beach is about 6-7 minutes walk.
