We loved the old world charm of the large room with it’s bay windows and fireplace. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and spacious with not just a shower but a stand alone bath tub. Extra towels were provided with bath robes and slippers. Also, extra treats provided, for example home made chocolate cake on arrival, were exceptional. Our host was fantastic and the breakfasts she provided each morning were a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Although the street is narrow, parking was not a problem.

The Loft looks just like on the picture. It is really cozy and nice. Everything is really clean. And it was a pleasure to meet the host, she was so amazingly nice and helped me with my luggage. You just need to be aware that there are some quite steep steps, it is no problem at all, but should be known.

A wonderful warm welcome from Alison, who was so helpful throughout our stay. The property is gorgeous - beautiful and comfortable room, with small fridge, tea-making and toiletries included. Very clean and also comfy beds. The dining room was so lovely and cheerful and breakfast was amazing - and everyone was catered for. A well stocked honestly bar too, which we didn’t use, but a great idea.

This isn’t a hotel - it’s a guesthouse. So you’re emailed key details which you unlock from a key safe. But it’s GREAT. Really nice touches - huge towels are something most hotels should pick up on - and very safe and secure. Right by Hastings train station and it will take you less than 5 mins to walk down to the sea. Book with total confidence. It’s like having your own apartment.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by our exceptional host – a French gentleman who seems to have made it his life’s mission to perfect the art of hospitality. His attention to detail, local knowledge, and heartfelt enthusiasm made us feel not just accommodated, but truly looked after. Whether it was insider tips on where to dine, hidden corners of Hastings to explore, or day trips in the surrounding countryside – every recommendation was spot on. The breakfast was, quite simply, sublime – lovingly prepared, beautifully presented, and worthy of a fine dining experience (without the stiff upper lip). Fresh ingredients, thoughtful variety, and that unmistakable touch of passion that makes all the difference. Accommodation in a very quiet location, separate building, parking in front of the house behind a closing gate. Absolute privacy, perfect outdoor seating on the terrace with a view of the surrounding countryside and greenery. Very well-equipped kitchen, with stove and microwave. Two comfortable double beds. The accommodation is not large (everything is in one room, except the bathroom), but very functionally furnished, comfortable, clean and modern. Very helpful owner, who lives in the next building. We would consider accommodation again.
