This place is a hidden gem! The garden is spectacular and so peaceful. We enjoyed a picnic by the river and saw a dolphin up-close as it swam by us. The room is beautiful and full of lovely details such as books, games and complementary snacks and drinks. The boardwalk through the wetlands is just next door, and it is a lovely way to start the day. Really recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Everything was perfect at The Castle at Bonville, a true European gem outside of Europe. This charming brick building sits atop a hill, surrounded by a lush garden filled with fruit trees. Shan and Donald are exceptional hosts. Despite my late arrival, they welcomed me with a freshly baked homemade chocolate cake and a comforting cup of chamomile tea. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean and spacious, ensuring a comfortable stay. Breakfast was a real highlight—a generous spring onion omelette made with eggs from their own chickens, paired with a fresh salad. I also received great recommendations for must-visit spots along the nearby coast, which turned out to be absolutely worth the trip. A flawless experience—10/10!

    Guest House on Hyde is located within walking distance to the village centre, yesterday very quiet and peaceful. The room I was allocated had luxurious decor and linen, glassware, china and all the other elements in the room were thoughtfully chosen. I had a delicious breakfast overlooking looking the pool. I would happy return!!

    Excellent location on the Main Street in the village. Great choice for breakfast in the morning. The couple who owned the property were very friendly and helpful regarding facilities in the area. I especially enjoyed the free glass of port and a chocolate in the evening.
