This is a terrific little family owned place to stay close to the beach. They have six rooms, three dogs, and a couple of good beach cruiser bicycles to get around town. Pedro manages their hotel when he is not surging. He, and the chef Agusto, built the hotel designed by his architect parents. They have been camping on the property ever since their grandfather purchased the property back in the 80’s. This family invited my wife and I to join their Christmas dinner when all of the restaurants in La Paloma were closed. I can’t express how much their hospitality made our visit a memorable one. Highly recommended. You will love it.

Juan was an incredible host, super friendly and helpful. And spoke great English which is always a bonus for me! The apartment felt like it was a fancy tree house, completed emerged in trees with birds all around. It also had everything I needed, including a bath mat, dish detergent, sponge, tea towel, salt and pepper. I've discovered these are not to be taken for granted in Uruguay!

Only 600 metres from La Viuda beaches, El Diablo y El Mar has comfortable rooms with sea views in Punta del Diablo. A daily continental breakfast is offered and Wi-Fi is free. This is a gorgeous place with a pool, and the rooms are so well connected if you are travelling with friends. The owner of the property was very kind with helping us ste up the bbq and even opening the pool early in the morning.

At Posada de la Viuda, each room has a private bathroom, with cable TV, safe box, and air conditioning. Continental Breakfast it is included, and there is WiFi and parking are free of charge. Beautiful, clean, organized, personalized, delicious breakfast, fabulous host
