How can you not like these incredibly beautiful little cottages on the face of a cliff overlooking the beautiful ocean?! The gardens were so well done and in full summer bloom for us- absolutely gorgeous! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel so welcome. The room was spacious, cosy, warm (with the beautiful fire place) and everything we needed! Very quiet and private too. The breakfast was so lovely too- we loved the personal touches of the staff serving us Gorgeous place- would highly recommend!

Our cottage (quail cottage) was absolutely beautiful. Lovely location, lots of space, comfy bed. There were plenty amenities in the kitchen to prepare food. Instructions to enter property were clear and we had no issues.

We LOVED our stay in Mendocino. We stayed at the Blue Door Inn, and from the moment we arrived we fell in love with it. It's a beautiful house from the outside, and even more beautiful on the inside. Check in was simple and easy, with very friendly staff. The room 'Buckingham' was just beautiful. Furnished nicely, huge comfortable bed, 2 comfy chairs in the room, an amazing bath and soft cosy robes in the room. They even provided us a kettle for our room upon request. The breakfast is delivered to your door in the morning (8:30) and consisted of eggs/grits, yoghurt parfait, a pumpkin bread and coffee. The common areas downstairs feel just like a beautiful home, really, we can't recommend this place highly enough, we wish we would have stayed more than 1 night.

We loved the shared kitchen with other guests, nice conversations, we loved the fresh fruits, pancakes and french toasts at breakfast. Very nice host, off-beat charms, details like old atlas, globes and books in the rooms;

Located just three miles south of the town of Mendocino, the Inn at Schoolhouse Creek is the perfect place to relax and enjoy gorgeous ocean views and expansive gardens. We loved our stay in the Garden cottage! The room was clean and cozy and the fact that it is separated from the other cottages gave our stay an intimate feel. The patio is a great addition and the soaking tub was absolutely amazing, plenty big for two, with ample hot water. The staff was super friendly and very communicative.
