Everything exceeded our expectations.

The location was great, with a phenomenal view into Italy over their vineyards. The breakfast was nice and the host, Nena, made us eggs to order each morning with freshly brewed coffee to boot. We made liberal use of the sauna and pool and in room wines! Very happy with our stay and would recommend any one who is looking to relax to stay at Villa Vajta.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Milena and her family are the perfect hosts their love for Peterc, the area, the vines and other local produce, the interior design and artwork, everything has been carefully thought through to make your stay truly memorable. The food is delicious and freshly prepared and the wine is really good. Having a glass of chilled white on the veranda overlooking Brda is just wonderful. We hired e-bikes and did an awesome ride through the area. Milena organised this for us with Bike Vibe. We also did one of the Cherry Trail hikes from the property.

Smartno village and the Aldila Art Rooms is an absolutely stunning location. The actual hotel only has a few rooms but they are very well done and stylish. The location is really special and it's very small which makes it feel even more personalised. So gorgeous.

We stayed here whilst walking the Alpe Adria trail. It had everything we needed and was clearly a favourite of the locals. Unfortunately we'd already eaten so didn't have an evening meal but the breakfast was delicious and the scrambled egg were the best of our holiday. They grew their own apricots and made wine. They left a couple of bottles in the room to sample on the house and they were delicious. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely amazing hosts. Sooo warm. Reminded me of the warmth I used to get from my grandparents, and that is saying something. Such a cozy property, too. Has everything that you need. Don't forget to try their wines. Both red and white. Unfortunately, I couldn't spend much time this time around, but I'll be going back in September when I'll do 2 week Slovenia trip. Grapes harvesting season :D

Featuring an outdoor pool and an on-site à-la-carte restaurant serving local specialities, Belica Bed and Breakfast is located in the village of Medana. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices. The view from our room was nice and we loved having a little patio. We were traveling with friends who were in the next room so it was very sociable.

Featuring a restaurant serving traditional cuisine, House Marica is located in Šmartno. Set in a traditional stone house, it offers a bar with a terrace and air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV. Great place to stay in a really beautiful village! The hosts were more than accommodating and organised a place to eat for us as well as transportation which was really helpful because we weren’t travelling by car and were travelling before the season. Great breakfast as well!
