I booked this property based on a review written by a family similar to ours. And the open air bathroom. We are a family of 4 with a 5 yr old girl and 2 year old boy. We rented the large family suite and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Less then 5 mins from the beach, large comfortable double beds with mosquito nets, a shared kitchenette, large comfortable bathroom with hot water and AC. The owners were such lovely accommodating people. The best part was the location. Hiritekiya is an Instagramy digital nomady hotspot, and Jungle Escape is located in the less developed part of the beach. So we were close to everything but in a more tranquil environment.

Surf Lodge Madiha mempunyai taman, kawasan pantai peribadi, teres dan restoran di Matara. The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. The guesthouse is located in a very peaceful and quiet place, not far from the beach and stores. The owner, Paba, was very helpful and kind! Would recommend staying here!

It is a short walk to two great beaches(if you go to nilewa take all your own stuff their are no facilities at this time). Ramesh is the friendliest guy you will meet and will help you organise anything you need.

Parasol Dore is a gorgeous gem of a villa, situated on a small and quiet beach near Dickwella. We loved the location, very quiet but within walking or short tuk-tuk distance to Dickwella and Hiriketiya when we felt like “opting in” to those other places. Most of all we loved the staff - everyone - made us feel at home in ways we could never have expected! We are so grateful we could stay here.
