I requested a late-night check-in and did not expect the host to be there; however, they waited for us and guided us on how to use the facilities. I also requested to extend my stay for one more night, and the staff kindly helped us move our luggage to a new room because the one we were staying in had already been booked by someone else.

It was our first Hanok experience and the most memorable part of our 8-day trip in Korea! As other reviews have pointed out, the location is perfect and the owner is friendly. I can’t say enough great things about the owner, Mr. Choi. We learned that he is a retired banker. He is super organized, attentive, and helpful. After he knew that my wife is a K-drama fan, he immediately marked a few famous filming locations on the map. In addition, there was a water cooler in his office, and it helped a lot for us to get hot drinking water on cold days. His wife is also a friendly lady, and we tried to communicate via the translation apps! This kind of interactions with locals really enriched our experience. We had never slept on the floor before, but we were glad that we got used to it, with the help of extra pillows! I can’t find words to describe the wonder of lying on the heated floor and feeling the heat warming into my body through my back. I guess this is Koreans’ secret to stay healthy! Since we stayed for two nights, we had enough time to visit all the major attractions (and great restaurants and cafes!) without feeling rushed. I especially enjoyed walking around the old town late at night or early in the morning, when the day-trippers were gone and it seemed that you had Jeonju all to yourself! Actually I didn’t sleep so well long time! Crickets’s songs outside are very nice for sweet dreams! And owner is very very kind and nice, they prepared welcome drink, breakfast with coffee and fruits and even gave me some snacks for a way !!! Thank you!
