The owner is the sweetest person ever, I arrived around 7pm and she suggested i take a bath while she cooked me dinner. I felt right at home. I had the double room which was so comfy and spacious. It’s very quiet and there’s a beautiful view of the mountains from the room. Everything was so clean. The morning breakfast was amazing and she also accommodated for my dietary restrictions (vegetarian). She drove me to the train station when I left. The place is 20min from the main attractions and its a beautiful walk. I stayed for 2 days and it was perfect to relax from a long trip. Thank you again 🧡🙏🏻

The staff member who picked us up from the JR station was very friendly, polite and thoughtful. The host is hospitable, attentive and detail-oriented. He puts in a lot of efforts to keep this place welcoming and comfortable. I would highly recommend it!

First, the location is superb - the hostel is close to both the Beppu train station and the Kitahama bus terminal, as well as a gorgeous hidden little passageway with vintage aesthetic cafes and bars. Second, the wide common room (+ kitchen) on the first floor is extremely cozy, the furnishing is lovely, and it can be used at any time of the day. This was very important and convenient to me as I often make phone calls during my travels and this common space allowed me to do so at odd hours without disturbing other guests. Third, the staff members I interacted with were extremely kind and helpful. Definitely made the stay even more enjoyable! Last but not least, I was very pleasantly surprised by how spacious the bathroom and shower in the female dormitory were! I absolutely recommend this place to anybody looking for a relaxing vacation.
