Guest rooms in Hotel Arashi Shinsaibashi No001 are equipped with a flat-screen TV and slippers. Amazing property, but the highlight really are the workers there. Extremely friendly and willing to help. The front desk workers filled out all our papers for shipping luggage’s, and one of them even walked with us to the local family mart and helped us ship them due to the language barrier. Location is very good, extremely close to Dotonbori centre. Very lively area. Would stay here again on my next trip!!

The house itself is really beautiful, clean, and very close to the train station. It's very easy to get to all the Nara sightseeing spots. I cannot recommend this amazing place enough. If you hesitate - don't, you have found the best place to stay at around Nara:)

Accommodation is fitted with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with bidet, slippers and a hair dryer. A fridge and kettle are also provided. At the guest house, all units have bed linen and towels. Our stay at Temple Hotel was unforgettable, blending smooth check-in with authentic Japanese hospitality. The kind monk welcomed us with a tour of his family’s temple grounds, shared local dining tips (his izakaya recommendation was excellent), and generously offered complimentary sake, shochu, and beer, complete with a gas stove for warming drinks. He even guided us in setting up our futon beds. The temple opened at 6am, and we were invited to join his 7am prayer service and participate in rituals like sutra copying. Before we left, he gifted us a meaningful Wagen Aigo souvenir and sent us off with blessings. This stay was a genuine experience of Japanese culture—highly recommended.

Great location by the railway and bus station. Very easy to get there and around Kyoto. We had the superior room which was spacious and quiet. Appreciated that it is possible to open a window. Nice touch with the free tea and coffee downstairs in the hotel private lounge.
First of all, it’s in a nice quiet location, but a short walk to the main central parts of Kyoto. The staff were friendly and helpful, booking us early morning taxis to take us to sights. Check in and out was easy. The amenities are good, we used the washer and dryer there which were cheap and simple to use. We even got to borrow a shoe-drying machine which was VERY useful one day after we got caught in rain. We had a private double room and that itself was nice, clean and had the amenities we needed.
What an incredible experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was gorgeous, very traditional ryokan on the upper floor with such a nostalgic view onto the street. The area was quiet and we slept well. There is also a private outdoor bath you can rent!! Would love to come back here one day. If you're looking for an authentic ryokan stay, definitely come here. Also great location and everywhere is easy to get to.
Easily in the top 3 of all the hostels I stayed at. Lovely vibe, cool staff and guests, very clean and charming hostel (I actually really liked the train noises). Private rooms are spacious and relatively cheap. This is what every hostel should aspire to be
The interior design of the room is great. We love the private bath so much and the bed was comfortable. The room is super cozy. The location of the hotel is quiet with a bit distance from the city center. The breakfast and the food from room service is tasty with really good quality.
Great location near temples right in the park. Quiet, friendly, clean place. Not fancy but comfortable as a hostel should be:) Very cheap for such place. Sweet stuff.
Great location and facilities, the hotel has an onsen and a restaurant as well as some massages that I did not use. The staff was friendly and helpful. Price was also good, one of the cheapest hotels I found. Breakfast was nice, but it was japanese-style rather than continental, just be aware of that. (I really wanted fresh fruit but there was none :( )
Lovely boutique accommodation - clean, warm, cosy and quiet. Very polite and attentive hosts. Niko is very helpful. Good breakfast. Love the bagels and scones. Great location - convenient for bus and metro transportation, eateries and shopping.
Small hostel on the side of the Chinese district. Nice, cheap and cozy - good access to the city center so location is a plus. The shower facilities were clean and good quality - though of course renting the bed in shared room it's not entirely private. Still I shared the room with only one other Japanese person and it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Outstanding boutique hotel. Excellent staff who were very helpful and attentive. Great location in Kyoto. Large comfortable rooms that were quiet and restful. Excellent breakfast.
