We took a 3 day trip to discover the Taurasi wine region and booked Antiche Dimore Taurasi. What an exceptional experience! Antonio, the host and owner, welcomed us as family. Unknown to us, he founded the Taurasi DOCG and was also mayor for a period of time. His knowledge of the area, history and wine is unparalleled and his passion for the land and wine is incredible. Breakfasts were excellent and served in the beautiful cantina.He made a dinner reservation for us at an exceptional restaurant just 20 minutes away. Ask him about the pre-phylloxera vines on his old property. In short, an incredible experience and well worth a visit, in addition to the stellar wines of the area. A 10+++
