She invited us in with a warm welcome, made us a cup of tea and even lit the fire for us on the chilly afternoon we arrived. We had a good old chat around the fire and then she left us to a beautiful peaceful evening to wind down in our comfortable and warm rooms. I loved the sky light/window in the bathroom of our room. The bird song outside, in the otherwise quiet countryside, was delightful. Beds were comfy and blankets were warm. I slept perfectly. Breakfast was great, we had coffee, toast and cereal. Bridie offered us more but we were already satisfied 🙂 We had a lovely stay.

We had such a fabulos stay with Helen, albeit very brief. It felt like a home from home. The surrounding area is lovely, great for walks. Helen is a marvelous host and Lacken Millhouse is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are lovely, the breakfast was superb, we can highly recommend staying here.

Food was excellent. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of cereals, toast /breads and cakes and of course tea. Lovely warm welcome, felt at home straight away. Bed, room and en-suite all clean, warm and very comfortable. The house is truly a credit to Rosemary. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Would not have booked if I had known no TV in rooms . My husband had planned on watching a final and was looking forward to resting in room watching. I did have my iPad !
