It is difficult to know where to begin! From arrival we felt welcomed. The hotel is well designed, the rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are so many little touches to make it feel you’ve arrived to stay with family or friends. Our host Irene is enthusiastic and super helpful. Offering suggestions and help for every travel question (and we had many)!! Breakfast was ample and covered all the bases as to offerings that were fresh and yummy! Our airport transfers went smoothly. Excellent drivers in both directions. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our days here and highly recommend Casa Alegria as a great base to visit the northern end of Santiago.

Very nice hotel, located a few kilometers away from Tarrafal and the playas. It is in a small village, very quiet and with ocean views. The appartment was really clean, and very well furnished. Many items in the kitchen, 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and 4 balconies! The breakfast is amazing (we were only eating breakfast and in the evening, as the breakfast was really generous), and the lady serving it and doing housekeeping is so nice.

The house is a mini mansion and was better than what we expected. Maria and Yannick made us feel comfortable and treated us like we were family. We loved their sweet breakfast, too.

Tugged away from the rest of the world, Ja opened a room of her ancestor's home to guests who would like to experience what it's like to live in Cape Verdian raw country side - which includes being offline, taking cold showers with a bucket and a mug, sleeping in pin drop silence (apart from the roosters), walking in the steep hills, etc. One can go with a shared taxi until the roundabout of Sao Domingos. From there, a local can come and pick you up for 300 ESC, or you can walk (it's absolutely safe, the locals are friendly and helpful, location on the map is accurate). They can also drop you to the airport for 1500 ESC, and it just takes 30mins to reach. Ja knows how to cook for vegetarians, too. She is a witty and interesting host to talk to. I am still amazed at the purity and simplicity of this place, and hope to be back one day.

Cactus Guest House mempunyai kolam renang luaran, taman, kawasan pantai peribadi dan ruang tamu berkongsi di Cidade Velha. the breakfast was faboulus! A lot of fresh local fruits and drinks. Mamadou our host was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay a lot, our daughter (7y) loved it as well.The pool was super nice and the view so beautiful. Everything was very clean.

KAZARÃO DI MAVETE- Guesthouse terletak di tepi pantai di Praia, 13-minit berjalan kaki dari Pantai Praia Negra dan 200m dari Justice Palace. I had a wonderful stay at Kazarao di Mavete. The guesthouse is very clean, nicely decorated, and located in a quiet but central area of Praia. I really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. The host, Eddy, was incredibly kind and helpful. He made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. On top of that, he is an amazing guide — he organizes tours to the most beautiful and unmissable places around Praia and Santiago Island. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good bed and a strong shower. I also enjoyed the coffee corner and the little touches that made the stay special. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Praia. Thank you Eddy!

Terletak di Praia dan dengan Pantai Praia Negra yang boleh disampai dalam 12-minit berjalan kaki, A Casa da Mizi menawarkan lounge berkongsi, bilik bebas rokok, WiFi percuma di seluruh tempat... A nice and affordable place. We stayed only for one night as we had another flight early in the morning. The host, Maria is extremely polite and friendly. Even though she says she doesn’t speak English very well, there were 0 issues whatsoever in terms of communication. Overall a great place to lay your head down for a few days or even a week.
