The hosts were so friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfast was made with a lot of care and was delicious. We loved being in this little village and the beautiful beach was nearby. We were also able to rent bikes and a car for one day thanks to them. Thank you making our stay so enjoyable and for being great hosts. Muito obrigado!

The house is a mini mansion and was better than what we expected. Maria and Yannick made us feel comfortable and treated us like we were family. We loved their sweet breakfast, too.

Tugged away from the rest of the world, Ja opened a room of her ancestor's home to guests who would like to experience what it's like to live in Cape Verdian raw country side - which includes being offline, taking cold showers with a bucket and a mug, sleeping in pin drop silence (apart from the roosters), walking in the steep hills, etc. One can go with a shared taxi until the roundabout of Sao Domingos. From there, a local can come and pick you up for 300 ESC, or you can walk (it's absolutely safe, the locals are friendly and helpful, location on the map is accurate). They can also drop you to the airport for 1500 ESC, and it just takes 30mins to reach. Ja knows how to cook for vegetarians, too. She is a witty and interesting host to talk to. I am still amazed at the purity and simplicity of this place, and hope to be back one day.

Cactus Guest House mempunyai kolam renang luaran, taman, kawasan pantai peribadi dan ruang tamu berkongsi di Cidade Velha. Absolutely everything especially Mamadu, who looks after the house!!! For the very first time I was travelling on my own and I did enjoy every minute! House is absolutely beautiful with amazing views from the patio and sitting area which is pretty much at the swimming pool. There are so many plants around that you feel like in a jungle literally, but that my kind of house. Peace and quiet area ... except for the roosters, but I did love it as well, as brought me back to my childhood when I grow up in the village. And the most important factor why I did love this place so much is that I was on my own, so all house was to myself!!! Fortunately, Mamadu was there any time I did need anything!

KAZARÃO DI MAVETE- Guesthouse terletak di tepi pantai di Praia, 13-minit berjalan kaki dari Pantai Praia Negra dan 200m dari Justice Palace. I like the joy and good mood of the owner. And he is kind. He makes sure that the place is clean all the time. You really feel at home. I also like the welcoming drink and Nespresso in the living room. Eddy, you are the best.
