This place is fantastic! Highly recommend it. Sylvio is a great host, and very attentive. The pool was ideal with our kids 5+9 years. Good to know that the restaurant is temporarily closed but will open again in a couple of months. This was no issue for us, as we enjoyed the communal kitchen very much!

The owners are very friendly and take care to be responsive and helpful. Their homemade breakfast is delicious.

This property was one of the best we have stayed in! The owners were super helpful and friendly, the place itself was very cosy, clean, quiet and serene. They had a very lovely dog called Luna who loved a tummy rub! The place is small and there are 3 cabins in total. This made it social in a nice way and we chatted to the other guests and it was just a really nice and calm place to be. The nature surrounding the property was lovely too! There was also a well equipped kitchen (we cooked in twice) and unlimited drinking water which was a nice touch. The rooms were very clean, cosy and they had really good air-con (which was needed as it was very hot when we stayed!)

Tonet & Nadia are exceptional hosts who made sure we felt welcome and were available all the time throughout our stay. The room was cleaned every day and laundry service was included, which was very valuable for us as a family with a small kid. The hosts even offered us sweet pancakes for breakfast some of the days, which was a very nice gesture. They also helped us figuring out the transport from San Jose to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca and connecting us with the driver directly, which was very helpful. All in all our stay has been great and we highly recommend Tonet and Nadia’s Black Bamboo for a nice and relaxing stay on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.
