Our stay at the Rustic Retreat was truly one of the best experiences I have ever had with any accommodation. 🌟 Our host went above and beyond: he picked us up at the train station, drove us to his favorite restaurant, and had prepared the most beautiful room for us. Such a unique place. Enjoyed finally having some comfy couches to relax in! Very well fitted out with absolutely everything you could need. Centrally located to all the sights. This would be a great place for a group of people as there is so much seating and even two kitchens. Highly recommend.

Very nice guest house with comfortable beds that feel like you are sleeping in a tree house. The kitchen had a basic equipment but still everything you need to cook simple meals. All the amenities were very clean. The guesthouse had a chill vibe, the other guests were friendly and considerate. The bar is very affordable and offers meals, too. Location is great, just a short walk (10mins) from the train station. The lady that checked us in was super friendly, gave us local recommendations and good overview of the activites in Hakone. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had everything we needed. Could not recommend this place more.
