This is an excellent hotel exceeding its rating. A fine example of the best of English hospitality, it sets a high benchmark which other inns and hotels should be aiming at and which in many cases do not. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and the cleaners do a remarkable job, the inn is spotless. The place is very professionally run. It's a credit to the owners.

It was a fantastic breakfast. A special mention for the bacon and the sausages we were given. Absolutely delicious. We, and the other guests, were seated at a communal, large dining table (with a beautiful garden backdrop) This gave us the bonus of a good natter over breakfast with the other people staying at the house. Everyone agreed that the house, food, gardens, service and hospitality was superb. The bedroom was great. Really comfortable bed. Great en-suite (with a powerful, hot shower) the room was large and well lit. Great views over the garden and a good peaceful night was enjoyed. Can’t speak too highly of the guest house. My wife and I would recommend it to anybody planning a stay in Melton Mowbray or, as in our case, looking for a place to stay en-route to somewhere else. My profile, however seems to indicate that I’m from the USA…. I’m not, I’m British. I’ll try and get that amended.

spectacular country setting gardens and pool area immacutely maintained. First Class extras and somebody on hand with a huge smile and predisposition to solve everything, great feeling to open your bedroom door and be able to jump into the outdoor heated pool and sit on the sunloungers with sun umbrellas and read. We were just blown away by the Studio, Katie had thought of everything you could need for a perfect getaway experience, and she was so helpful. The bed was the most comfortable we've found anywhere in our travels - we even found two hot water bottles, just in case (not needed). The breakfast provided was just right for us. Our dog, Grace, was in her element, loads of walkies and places to explore. Just wonderful!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Barn, it's a lovely property and a quirky layout which adds to the charm. Very clean and comfortable and with food basics such as bread, milk, tea/coffee, jams etc provided along with crockery/cutlery, toaster, fridge and kettle. We were able to park on the drive which is gated and feels secure. Dave and Lisa were really nice and helpful, but respectful of privacy so we felt comfortable and at home. Thanks for a lovely stay!
