We had a very warm welcome from the hosts and an excellent home cooked meal. Electric car charging for a reasonable rate was also available.

Very well located a 2 minute drive from the motorway, but feeling like you’re deep in nature. Charming building with spotless and spacious room, very comfortable beds. Plenty of outdoor space for kids to play. Great breakfast. Highly recommended.

A spotlessly clean, very well appointed room in a quiet rural setting, run by delightful hosts. We booked in for the Table dHote dinner which was extremely good, with a wide variety of excellent drinks included. We thoroughly enjoyed a very pleasant evening, chatting to our hosts. A real taste of the true France. A great breakfast, as well.

Everything was delightful. Very welcoming hosts who clearly communicated at every stage. Clean and comfortable accommodation with lovely space to relax. Breakfast was delicious with lots of home made goods. Location is lovely and great for exploring the local area.

What a splendid place to escape from the stress of modern life and such a genial host! Yes it's an old fortified chateau gentrified in the 19th century that shows it's age. But our room was clean, spacious and full of appropriate furniture and ornaments/paintings etc. The bed was the most comfortable that we have slept in apart from our home for many years. A substantial breakfast with local produce and as much coffee as we wanted. In a breakfast/dining room totally in keeping with the style exhibited throughout. The gardens are a treasure trove of mature trees and leisurely paths to explore. We do not pass this way very often but would not hesitate to return. Don't expect to stay in a modernised renovated period house. It's not, but if you relax and appreciate the ambiance you will not go far wrong.

A friendly, warm, heartfelt and courteous welcome at the reception. As hotel restaurant was closed, recepcionist lady/owner organized a taxi and called restaurant in nearby town to reserve a table in a lovely restaurant. Brilliant. Great service and service commitment. Ambiance of chateau is great. I love that. I was allowed to park my moto bike in front of entrance of chateau. Satisfied with room and breakfast. A vey special place. Next time I will enjoy the hotel restaurant.

Our stay at the chateau exceeded our expectations. A rural haven, within a few minutes drive of local villages and Vichy. Very high standard breakfast with ample fresh croissants, pastries and fruit to start the day. Amazing host, was very welcoming and gave us full run of the living area and kitchen. The outdoor space was areal treat, with a large pool and plenty of space to relax, picnic, sample the vine, and enjoy the horses. Bike where available free of charge and ideal for a bit of exercise
